I’m from Effingham and lived here until graduating from St. Anthony High School in 1989.  In those days before Premier Broadcasting, you could listen to WLS (remember ‘Animal Stories’ and year-end countdowns?), WZZQ, and local stations.  After college at EIU and the U of I, I moved to Assumption and worked as a Mechanical Engineer for an agricultural manufacturer.  In 1999, I moved back to good ol’ Effingham, working at Stevens Industries until 2012.

That’s when life took a different course, literally, as I entered Lake Land’s Radio-TV program and their alt-rock station WLKL.  That wrapped up in 2015, and I started ‘running the boards’ at the Premier stations during ball games.  After some great learning from the studio masters like Kenna, Matt, Courtney, and Brian H., I was able to fill-in for on-air work.  Currently, I host the KJ Cafe at noon and also co-host the Drive Home Show with Wayne Moran and Tonya Siner every weekday.  We hope to keep it a fun and entertaining show -- give it a listen!

I still live in Effingham and enjoy the many things great about this area.  I have six sisters and four brothers scattered around Illinois and another brother in England.  You might see me doing anything outside, especially biking or operating my personal gym (a.k.a. pushing the Toro).
