Teutopolis picked up two victories over Newton St. Thomas in makeup junior high volleyball matches Thursday.

T-town won the seventh-grade contest 25-20, 25-23. In the eighth-grade match, T-town was a 25-18, 13-25, 25-19 winner on eighth-grade recognition night.

Seventh-Grade Match

Eighth-Grade Match

At Effingham

Mattoon claimed the championship of the Class 7-4A Effingham Regional Thursday evening.

Mattoon defeated Charleston 27-25, 25-9. Mattoon advances with an 18-2 record to the Mahomet-Seymour Sectional Monday against Champaign Franklin (17-5) at 6 p.m.

At St. Peter

St. Peter Lutheran defeated Altamont Lutheran Thursday evening in two games, 25-19, 25-11.

The Saints improve their record to 13-1 on the season.
