Effingham Junior High School handed Altamont two losses in volleyball competition Wednesday evening.

The Mustangs won the seventh-grade match 25-14, 25-22. Altamont drops to 3-12 on the season.

In the eighth-grade match, Effingham was a 25-11, 25-23 winner. Altamont is now 9-7.
