Effingham High School senior Natalie Carie Wednesday signed her letter-of-intent to play volleyball for Kaskaskia College in Centralia.

A multi-sport athlete, Natalie indicated she wanted to pursue volleyball since she feels she has room to grow in the sport. A starter on the EHS girls basketball teams that reached the Elite Eight the past two seasons, she said she wanted to close her basketball career on a high note.

Natalie is the daughter of Dennis and Tammy Carie. She said she's undecided on what to pursue academically, but said it might be in the medical field.
