EHS' Martin, Three C'land Players Named to All-Conference Volleyball Teams

Effingham High School's Chloe Martin was named to the All-Apollo Conference Volleyball Second Team as a middle.

First Team members were Savannah Matthews outside, Mahomet-Seymour; Karlee McAtee, outside, Mount Zion; Ashlyn McDonald, right side, Mattoon; Peyton Jackson, outside, Taylorville and Dayna Kennedy, right side, Mount Zion.

Other Second Team members were Belle Coffey, libero, Mattoon; Kaylin Froebe, outside, Lincoln; Summerlyn Smith, setter-rightside, Mattoon; Tearaney Eads, outside, Lincoln; Liz Curtin, middle, Taylorville and Courtney Coy, setter, Taylorville.

Mount Zion won the conference championship with an 11-1 record followed by Mattoon 8-4, Taylorville 7-5, Lincoln 7-5, Mahomet-Seymour 6-6, Charleston 2-10 and Effingham 1-10.

 

Little Okaw Valley All-Conference

Claire Guyon, a senior who played for Cumberland High School was named to the First Team of the Little Okaw Valley, Southeast Division All-Conference.

Second Team honors went to Cumberland's Maddie Hendrix, a sophomore and Honorable Mention was claimed by Tayler McMechan, a freshman.
