Effingham Makes Senior Night a Happy One

The Effingham Hearts celebrated Senior Night with a victory over Salem at all levels Tuesday night.
The Hearts' varsity won over the Wildcats, 25-19, 25-15. For Effingham, Kourtney Utz had 12 assists and four digs; Sara Deibel six digs; Deedra Myers two aces, five kills and nine digs; Bethany Donaldson one assist; Kallie Koester nine kills, six digs and one block; Holly White three digs; Kelli Utz 20 digs; Felicia Totten 17 assists and two digs; Shanon Daugherty eight kills, four digs and one block; Stephanie Robb one ace, four kills, three digs and two blocks; Erica Feldhake two kills, one assist and three blocks; Chandler Ramey four kills and one block.
The Hearts' JV squad won 25-18, 25-23. For Effingham, Katie Roberts one ace, one kill and one dig; Rachel Weis 13 assists; Katie Bloemker one ace, one kill and two digs; Brittany Beals seven kills, one assist, one dig and one block; Josie Zerrusen three kills and six digs; Madeline Mitchell one ace, three kills and two digs; Shelby Nunamaker one kill and one block; Jennifer Fred three aces, one kill, one assist and six digs; Kaylee Tonn three aces one assist and one dig.
Effingham won the freshman game 20-25, 25-14, 15-9 in the final game of the season for the freshmen. For Effingham, Maranda Steffen two kills and five digs; Brooke Kocher two aces, six assists and three digs; Jennifer Fred two kills, one assist and 16 digs; Chandler Ramey one assist and one dig; Mallory Logan one ace and six kills; Courtney Rieman one kill; Kaylee Tonn one ace, three kills, nine assists and one dig; Mikala Chrappa one assist; and Shelby Nunamaker eight kills and eight digs.
