Tri-County Claims St. A Tourney Title

Tri-County claimed the championship of the St. Anthony/Newton Volleyball Tournament Sataurday.

Tri-County finished with a 5-0 record followed by Pana 4-1, St. Anthony 4-1, Benton 3-2, Newton 2-2, Shelbyville 1-3, Olney 1-3 and Teutopolis 0-4.

In Pool A, St. Anthony defeated Olney 25-19, 25-22, St. Anthony defeated Benton 25-20, 25-12,  St. Anthony defeated Shelbyville 25-19, 25-20, Benton defeated Shelbyville 25-22, 25-21, Benton defeated Olney 25-23, 25-11 and Shelbyville defeated Olney 25-19, 25-20.

In Pool B, Newton defeated Teutopolis 25-18, 25-21, Pana defeated Newton 25-21, 22-25, 15-12, Tri-County defeated Pana 23-25, 25-21, 18-16, Tri-County defeated Teutopolis 25-7, 25-11, Tri-County defeated Newton 25-22, 25-19 and Pana defeated Teutopolis 25-18, 25-21.

In bracket play, Tri-County defeated Benton 25-22, 25-17 and Pana defeated St. Anthony 25-23, 25-24, 15-1. Tri-County picked up the championship with a 25-15, 25-16 win over Pana. St. Anthony defeated Benton 25-23, 25-12 in the third place match.
