Haley Mathis put down 11 kills, had nine digs, two aces and was tops in assists with 10 in leading Effingham St. Anthony to a 25-15, 25-11 win over Cowden-Herrick Thursday in volleyball action.
Megan Woltman also had 10 assists for the Bulldogs. Mathias added a block to her total while Megan Nuxoll and Maggie Mumm had a block each. St. Anthony improves to 10-5 on the season.
In junior varsity play, St. Anthony won 25-19, 25-18.
At Cowden

Stewardson-Strasburg picked up a victory over Teutopolis 25-14, 25-21 to improve to 3-0 in the National Trail Conference, 6-4 overall.
Kelsie Walden had 15 assists for the winners. Kendall Knop had 10 digs. Brittani Tabbert led in kills with six and aces with two.
T-town was led by Natalie Summers and Morgan Breer with five digs each and Katelyn Ruholl with eight assists.
In junior varsity play, T-town won 25-7, 27-25. Stew-Stras won a freshman/sophomore match 27-25, 25-21.

Neoga defeated Altamont in National Trail Conference play. Altamont won the opener 25-10 but Neoga came back with 25-19, 25-21 scores.
White led Altamont in kills with 14 and had an ace and two stuff blocks. M. Ohnesorge had 11 assists and Ledbetter led in digs with five. Altamont drops to 0-3 in conference play, 1-7 overall.
Neoga won the junior varsity match in three sets and a freshman/sophomore contest in two sets.

St. Elmo tallied a National Trail Conference win over Brownstown, 25-19, 25-15.
The Eagles were led in kills by K. Stites and S. Feezel with seven each. Stites had three aces along with Maxey. Feezel also contributed two blocks. St. Elmo improves to 3-0 in the conference, 8-3 overall.
Brownstown as led in kills by Bethany Oberlink with three. Danie Austin had two aces. Brownstown drops to 2-5 .
