Effingham Boys Compete at Belleville West Track Invitational

BELLEVILLE -- Efifngham High School competed in the Belleville West Boys Track Invitational Saturday.

Minooka won the team title with 88 points followed by Edwardsville 68, East St. Louis 60, Plaintfield North 58, Aurora Metea Valley 52, Homewood/Flossmoor 48, Mount Vernon 42, Cahokia 38, Lockport Township 33, Andrew Tinley Park 32, Chatham Glenwood 28, O'Fallon 27, Normal Community 23, Belleville West 21, South Elgin 21, Troy Triad 15, Roxana 13, Chicago St. Rita 13, Collinsville 12, Rockton Hononegah 12, Mascoutah 9, Fort Zumwalt West 8, Springfield 8, Peoria Manual 5, Waterloo 4, Alton Senior 2 and Champaign Centennial 1.

The best result for the Hearts was Dalton Fox in the pole vault. Fox finished 13th with a 3.25 meter vault. Winning was Tanner Koontz of Mount Vernon at 4.32 meters.
