EHS Remains Unbeaten By Downing Charleston

Effingham High School remained on track towards an unbeaten tennis season by downing Charleston 7-2 to improve to 10-0 Monday evening.

Isaac Foreman, Jared Minor, Parth Maheshwari and Jason Wohltman claimed singles victories.

In doubles action, the Hearts swept. Foreman and J. Wohltman won at No. 1, 7-5, 6-2. Maheshwari and Minor won the opener 6-4, lost in the second set 6-2, then came back with a 6-4 victory. Aaron Meyers and Wyatt Wohltman combined at No. 3 to win 6-3, 6-1.

Charleston drops to 7-2 on the season.

No. 6 -- Jason Wohltman (E) defeated Anthony Beavers (C), 6-0, 6-0

Doubles

No. 1 -- Foreman-J. Wohltman (E) defeated Hussey-Howrey (C), 7-5, 6-2

No. 2 -- Maheshwari-Minor (E) defeated Gowin-Reuter (C), 6-4, 2-6, 6-4

No. 3 -- Meyers-W. Wohltman (E) defeated Beavers-Randall (C), 6-4, 6-2
