Effingham Wins Hard-Fought Match Over Mt. Vernon

Effingham and Mt. Vernon had a dandy battle Thursday in boys high school tennis, with the Hearts coming out on top, 5-4.

Isaac Foreman won the #2 singles match 7-6, 7-6 and Parth Maheshwari won the #4 singles match 6-1, 6-4.  Effingham swept all three doubles matches; Foreman and Jason Wohltman won the #1 doubles match 6-3, 7-5; Maheshwari and Jared Minor won the #2 doubles match 6-0, 6-0; and Aaron Meyers and Wyatt Wohltman won the #3 doubles match 6-4, 6-0.

Effingham is still perfect on the spring with a 9-0 record.
