Effingham High School fell to visiting Mattoon 9-0 in tennis competition Tuesday evening.
The Green Wave picked up all six singles victories with the closest match at No. 4 as Jackie Boyd beat Skyler Schafer 7-5, 6-2.
In doubles play, Effingham's Chloe Funneman and Lauryn Douthit went three sets against Rachel Ervin and Mary Zuhone but fell 6-1, 6-7, 10-7.
