GREENVILLE -- Teutopolis High School pushed its unbeaten record to 5-0 with an 8-1 victory over Greenville Thursday.

T-town's Andy Mersman easily captured the No. 1 spot 6-3, 6-2. Kyele Mossman and Noah Pals blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-0. Jacob Mette won 6-1, 6-2 while Joseph Esker took 6-2, 6-2 decisions.

The lone loss for the Shoes came at the No. 2 singles as Trevor Lee went down in a tough battle. Lee lost the opener 7-6 (5) before coming back with a 6-4 win. Lee then fell 10-4.

In doubles play, Lee combined with Mette and the pair picked up 6-2, 6-2 wins. Pals and Alex Probst went 7-6 (3), 6-2. Esker and Alex Meinhart claimed the final doubles win, 6-3, 6-4.
