Effingham St. Anthony played host to a tough Mount Zion boys tennis squad and fell to the Braves, 8-1 Monday.
The lone point for the Bulldogs came at the No. 1 singles match where Jay Niebrugge defeated Nick Laramee, 6-1, 6-3.
St. Anthony has a 1-1 record and will play host to Hillsboro today.

Teutopoils picked up a victory over Casey-Westfield, 9-0 to move its record to 2-0 on the young season.
Andy Mersman, Trevor Lee, Kyele Mossman, Jacob Mette, Noah Pals and Joseph Esker claimed singles victories.
In doubles play, Lee and Mette conmbined at No. 1 to win while Pals and Alex Probst took the No. 2 spot. Esker and Alex Meinhart won at No. 3.
