T-town Opens Tennis Season with 9-0 Win

CHARLESTON -- Teutopolis High School opened its tennis season by blanking Charleston, 9-0 Thursday.
Andy Mersman picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 while Jacob Mette and Joseph Esker tallied that same score at No. 3 and No. 6 respectively.
Trevor Lee won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 while Kyele Mossman won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 and Noah Pals took No. 5 with 6-1, 6-3 scores.
In doubles play, Lee and Mette combined at No. 1 to win 6-1, 6-3. Pals and Alex Probst took the No. 2 spot 6-1, 6-4 while Esker and Alex Meinhart claimed No. 3 for the sweep 6-1, 6-0.
