EHS Captures 7-2 Win Over Casey-Westfield

CASEY -- Effingham High School was a 7-2 winner over Casey-Westfield in tennis action Thursday.

The Hearts picked up five of the six singles wins as Lauren Hoekstra, Madisson Haake, Claudia Vinuela-Ayllon, Kaitlyn Gurley and Emma Kull claimed victories.

In doubles play, Hoekstra-Vinuela-Ayllon won at No. 2 10-0 while Funneman-Kull claimed the No. 3 spot 10-5.

The Hearts improve to 5-4 and are back in action today at the Apollo Conference Tournament.
