Bulldogs Down Rams In Tennis Action

SHELBYVILLE -- Effingham St. Anthony High School traveled to Shelbyville and captured a 6-2 tennis victory Monday.
Alec Niebrugge picked up the No. 2 singles win for the Bulldogs, 6-1, 6-1. Chris Jones won 6-2, 6-4 while Ian Harris claimed 6-1, 6-1 wins. Andy Saba downed his opponent 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5.
In doubles play, the Bulldogs took both victories. A. Niebrugge and Harris combined to win 10-2. Donovan Hammer and Jones picked up the No. 2 win, 10-1.
St. Anthony ends the regular season with a 10-4 record and will be back in action Friday and Saturday at the Casey-Westfield Sectional.
