South Central defeated Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick 15-1 in Friday softball action.

The Cougars scored twice in the first inning, five times in the fourth, twice in the fifth and six times in the seventh.  The Eagles scored their lone run in the first inning.

Kirby Herrmann took the loss for BCCH, allowing nine runs, seven earned, in five innings of work on nine hits, walking nine and striking out two.  Summer Riley pitched two innings, allowing six earned runs on three hits and seven walks.

Abby King pitched a great game for South Central, allowing one unearned run on five hits and one walk while fanning five.

For BCCH, Amanda Pierce singled, Micah Jones was hit by a pitch, Autumn Riley tripled and singled and drove in the lone run, Kirby Herrmann singled and walked and Heather Reed singled.

For South Central, Gunnels singled and walked three times, Crain walked four times, Whitt tripled and walked and drove in a run, Cain doubled twice, singled and walked and drove in two runs, King singled and walked twice, Hall singled and walked twice and drove in a run, Campbell singled three times, Ritter singled and walked and drove in two runs and Grzegorek singled and walked twice and drove in a run.
