The Hearts had four hits led by Abby Cunningham with a double that scored the run. Daelyn Dunston, Jennifer Jamison and Tori Budde had a single each.
Bria Beals threw a six-hitter with one walk and three strikeouts to pick up the win on the mound.

At Kinmundy
South Central played host to Cumberland and sent the Pirates home with a 10-5 loss Monday.
The Cougars had 15 hits in the game led by Taegan Webster and Laney Webster with a single, home run and two RBI each. Ella Watwood added a single, double and two RBI and Kyra Swift a single, double and three RBI. Brooklyn Garrett had a double and an RBI and Lily Malone and Jaylyn Michel added two singles each.
Cumberland was led by Katie Kingery with a double and two RBI.
South Central improved to 22-10 on the season and will head to regional action in its own regional today against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 4:30 p.m.
Cumberland returns to action Wednesday against Moweasqua Central A&M in its own regional at 4:30 p.m.

Newton tallied a 13-5 victory over Dieterich in regular season play Monday.
Dieterich held a 2-1 first inning lead but the Eagles scored eight in the second frame and went on for the win.
Newton had 10 hits led by Ava Kessler with a single, double and three RBI, Lilly Kessler with a single, double and one RBI, Avery Mulvey with a double and an RBI and Lexie Grove and Amber Russell with a single and two RBI each.
Dieterich was led by Lucie Jansen with a home run and two RBI, Eva Meinhart with a single, double and an RBI and Megan Bierman with two singles and an RBI.
