Miller Lite Claims Softball Doubleheader

Koerner's Miller Lite picked up a women's fastpitch softball doubleheader win over Waymo's Photography.

Miller Lite won the opener 4-2. Waymo's held a 1-0 lead until the third when Miller Lite tallied two runs then tacked on a third in the fourth. Waymo's pulled within 3-2 in the fifth but Miller Lite added on a final run in the sixth.

Miller Lite had nine hits led by Ledbetter with a single, triple and an RBI and Dowling with a double and an RBI.

Waymo's had four singles by K. Waymoth, Kopplin, Ohnesorge and Light. Ohnesorge had an RBI.

In the second contest, Miller Lite took a 1-0 lead in the second and had a five-run fourth for a 6-0 victory. May threw a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts.

Harvey had two singles for Miller Light. Kopplin had the lone hit for Waymo's with a single.
