BEECHER CITY -- Stewardson-Strasburg captured the championship of the Beecher City Junior High School Softball Tournament Saturday.
Stew-Stras went 3-0 in the round robin affair while Mulberry Grove finished second at 2-1, St. Elmo was third at 1-2 and Beecher City finished fourth at 0-3.
In the opener, Mulberry Grove had 12 hits and downed Beecher City 15-0. Stew-Stras then came out in the second contest and brought home 14 runs for a 14-1 victory over St. Elmo. Mulberry Grove downed St. Elmo 11-3 behind eight hits.
Stew-Stras blanked Beecher City 15-0 behind 14 hits. Stew-Stras took a 5-0 first inning lead and had a 10-run second. Stew-Stras then came back to down Mulberry Grove 8-0 behind 10 hits. St. Elmo then downed Beecher City 8-6 behind 11 hits.

At Windsor
Teutopolis blasted Windsor in action Friday evening, 17-0. T-town banged out 16 hits in the contest and the game went four innings.
Emma Beckman and Marianna Hemmen combined to pitch a one-hitter with two walks and five strikeouts. T-town was led by Raegan Drees with a single and a triple and Beckman with a single, double and three REBI. Nikki Trussell had the only hit for Windsor with a single.
T-town remains undefeated at 6-0 and will be back in action Wednesday hosting Charleston.
