St. Elmo/Brownstown opened the junior high softball season Monday with a 12-7 win over Ramsey.
SEB had four-run innings in the third and fourth to break a 3-3 tie and go on for the five-run win. Katelyn Maxey had two singles, a double and an RBI for the winners while Audrey Reynolds had two singles and Payton Hoopingarner had a single and two RBI.
SEB is back in action Thursday against Windsor-Stewardson-Strasburg in National Trail Conference action.
