Lady Shoes Swept by 4A Power Edwardsville

The Teutopolis Lady Shoes are going through the toughest part of their schedule, having lost to perennial power Casey-Westfield for their first defeat of the season Thursday, and now losing a doubleheader to Class 4A power Edwardsville Friday, 5-1 and 9-2.  

In the opener, Kadi Borries took the loss, allowing five runs on 10 hits in seven innings of work, walking two and fanning three.

In the nightcap, Kaitlin Smith pitched an inning and gave up one run on one hit, walking one and striking out one.  Madison Cowman pitched five innings, allowing eight runs, seven earned, on 11 hits, walking one and fanning one.
