Effingham St. Anthony's Makayla Walsh pitched a three-hitter with no walks and five strikeouts as the Bulldogs ended this softball game in the fifth 10-0 over South Central Monday.

The Bulldogs had a four-run first and a four-run third before ending the game with two more runs in the fourth. Hunter Niebruggge hit a home run and finished with two RBI while Walsh hit a home run and had three RBI. Kristen Schuette contributed a single, double and an RBI while Kate Richards had a double and an RBI and Morgan Gardewine a double and an RBI.

At Effingham

Altamont took a 3-0 first inning lead and never looked back, ending this game in the fifth 20-0 over St. Elmo/Brownstown. Deidre Ledbetter pitched a no-hitter with no walks and 12 strikeouts.

The Indians had 14 hits in the contest led by Josie Phillips with a single, double and an RBI while Lauren Ohnesorge had a double and an RBI and Ledbetter four singles and three RBI. Nikki Tharp had two singles and two RBI while Madison Ohnesorge had two singles and an RBI.

At Altamont

Tetotpolis broke a 1-1 tie with a six-run fourth and handed Shelbyville a 9-6 loss to remain unbeaten at 20-0 on the season.

MacKenzie Wermert had a single, double and four RBI while Charlotte Wente and Anni Borries had a single and two RBI each. Allison Apke added two singles.

Madison Cowman pitched a six-hitter with one walk and four strikeouts.

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor is now 5-1 in the National Trail Conference, 16-4 overall after taking a 14-9 win over Neoga.

Neoga held a 6-1 lead until the fifth when Stew-Stras/Windsor brought home a whopping 10 runs.

Knop and Schultz had a single, double and two RBI each while Tabor had two singles and an RBI and Greuel three singles and three RBI.
