Teutopolis Remains Undefeated w/Win Over St. Anthony; Other Friday Scores

The Teutopolis Lady Shoes used the home run ball and good pitching from Kadi Borries to defeat the St. Anthony Lady Bulldogs 9-1 Friday night.  The game, part of the Cross Creek Classic, was heard on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com at Evergreen Hollow Park.

Kadi Borries helped her own cause with a solo homer to left field in the first.  Kaitlin Smith took an inside pitch over the left field fence with one aboard in the second inning to extend the lead to 3-0.  Allison Apke hit a shot deep over the center field fence with a runner on the third inning to make it a 5-0 game.  T-Town added three more runs in the fourth inning and a tally in the fifth to complete their scoring.  St. Anthony scored its lone run after Hunter Niebrugge doubled with one out in the fourth.

Kadi Borries, meanwhile, allowed just one run on four hits while walking two and fanning four.

Makayla Walsh pitched the first three innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and striking out one.  Jenna Woltman pitched the final three innings, giving up four runs, three earned, on five hits, walking two and fanning one.

Altamont 4, Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor 1 (Altamont twice in the first inning and single runs in the third and sixth; SS/W got its lone run in the seventh; Deidre Ledbetter got the win for Altamont, allowing an unearned run on two hits, walking one and striking out 10; Becca Schlechte took the loss, giving up four runs on 12 hits, walking four and fanning one; for Altamont: Madison Ohnesorge singled twice and scored; Josie Phillips homered; Deidre Ledbetter tripled and singled, scored and drove in a run; Lauren Ohnesorge doubled and singled and scored; Lauren White singled three times and drove in two runs; Brooks Burns singled twice; for Stew-Stras/Windsor: Kendall Knop and Becca Schlechte each singled and Schlechte scored the lone SS/W run)
