Effingham St. Anthony High School took a 4-0 second inning lead and went on to end the game against Mulberry Grove in softball competition Friday by the 10-run rule, 14-4.
The Bulldogs banged out 16 hits in the contest. Megan Nuxoll had a single and a grand slam home run. She finished with four RBI. Kate Richards had two singles, a double and an RBI while Jenna Woltman and Hunter Niebrugge had three singles and three RBI each.
Woltman picked up the pitching win on a four-hitter with three strikeouts.
