EHS Drops 4-0 Decision to Mount Vernon

Effingham High School's soccer squad fell to Mount Vernon 4-0 in competition Wednesday.

Mac Jones tallied three goals for the winners. His first goal came at 33:42 left in the first half and at 36:22 for a 2-0 lead at the half. In the second half, Joseph McDaniel scored with 30:38 left and Jones finished the scoring at the 29:49 mark.

Effingham keeper Frank Kasdorf had five saves. The Hearts drop to 3-3 on the season.

In the junior varsity contest, Mount Vernon was a 1-0 winner. EHS is 1-2-1.
