Major League Soccer may be locking out players today, after reaching an impasse in negotiations with the players union over the terms of resuming play from its coronavirus shutdown.

The players voted Sunday to approve a counteroffer on economic concessions for this season, but MLS reportedly doesn't intend to move from its previous offer, and ESPN said the league has given the players until noon today to accept their final proposal, and will lock them out if they don't.
