Altamont Plays To 1-1 Soccer Tie, EHS Falls To Charleston

PANA -- Altamont High School played Pana to a 1-1 tie in soccer action Thursday.

 

Pana took the lead in the first half. Altamont then came back to tie as Isaac Crow scored, assisted by Will Overton.

The Indians had 17 shots, six on goal. Kenny Robbins had four saves.

Pana had seven shots, five on goal and finished with five saves.

 

At Effingham

Charleston claimed a 5-2 victory over Effingham in action Thursday.

The Trojans picked up their sixth Apollo Conference win of the season for a 6-3-1 record and stand at 12-6-1 overall. Eugene Ohba scored an early goal and William Carrillo tallied on a penalty kick. Blake Garrett added a goal with an assist from Carrillo.

The Trojans scored two second half goals as Garrett had one on an assist by Ohba and tallied another one.

The Hearts scored both their goals in the second half.

The Trojans also claimed the junior varsity contest, 2-0.
