The fundraiser for Jenny and Nick Kinkelaar and their five-month-old Vivie and Jody and Matt Loman and their two-month-old Dawson, are battling cancer. The funds raised during the match went to the two families.
"We want to say a huge thank you to everybody who came out to support the Teutopolis and Efifngham soccer teams tonight," said T-town Coach Aaron Wendt. "With the help of the local community, we were able to raise money for the Kinkelaar and Lohman families and bring attention to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We are lucky and proud to be a part of such a loving and supportive community. Please keep Vivie Kinkelaar and Dawson Lohman, along with all the other children suffering from cancer, in your thoughts."
Meanwhile, the Wooden Shoes' Alex Deters scored in the first half at 27:58 in the varsity match. Linus Tanneryd had a place kick for foul in the box at 6:27.
T-town improves to 11-2 overall and will be back in action at Centralia Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
The Wooden Shoes junior varsity also picked up a win, 2-1. T-town goals were scored by Nolan Runde in the first half and Ethan Mette in the second half.

Altamont scored one goal, but it was the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Faith Bible Christian Academy Monday.
Donovan Delaney scored on an assist by Noah Klimpel at 25:48.
The Indians took nine shots, five on goal. Kenny Robbins had two saves.
Faith Bible Christian Academy had two shots, both on goal and four saves.
