ALTAMONT -- Altamont High School was a scoring machine Tuesday in soccer competition against visiting Salem.
The Indians tallied a 7-0 victory. Sebastion Thompson scored first for the Indians with an assist by Jason Burns at 12:17. Burns then came back to give Altamont a 2-0 halftime lead with a minute on the clock.
In the second half, Donovan Delaney scored twice, the first time unassisted at 37:14 and the second time with an assist by Isaac Crow at 28:28. Sam Mathesius scored with 25:28 on the clock for a 5-0 lead. Burns scored at 20:10 unassisted and Noah Klimpel hit net on an assist by Hayden Voelker at 10:58.
Altamont had 34 shots, 14 on goal. Quinn Verdeyen was the goal keeper. Salem had only three shots, none on goal.
Altamont improves to 5-7-1 on the season.
