Knights U-19 Team Claim Two Wins, U-14 Three Wins

It was a crazy weekend for soccer and the Midland United Soccer Club Knights U-19 and U-14 teams competed.

The U-19 team played numerous games. The Knights didn’t let the cold and mud get in their way as they handed Olney a 4-1 loss.

They turned around and played EIFC Charleston and the final was 2-2.

After a nice rest, the Knights stepped onto the pitch to face Marshall. The Knights handed Marshall a 4-2 loss. The U-19 finished the day 2-0-1 as they travel to Marshall Saturday.

The U-14 Knights also had a big weekend as the traveled to Broadlands to face Champaign Prairie Fire in an ice cold night game.

Facing the numbing temperatures, the young Knights were able to take a 6-1 win over the Fire.

Sunday, the Knights traveled to Charleston to face the EIFC Charleston team in a doubleheader. The Knights thrashed their opponent 9-0 in the first game and 10-1 in the second game.

The Knights have a 3-0 start and travel to Casey Sunday for another doubleheader.
