Olney Nabs Wins Over Altamont in Soccer

ALTAMONT -- Olney High School came calling and claimed a varsity and a junior varsity win over Altamont Saturday.

The Tigers won the varsity match 3-1. Olney scored two goals in the first half. Altamont pulled within 2-1 on a coal by Cody Sharp with an assist from Jason Burns. Olney then tallied a final goal.

The Indians had 14 shots, four on goal. Altamont had nine saves by goal keeper Brenynne Abendroth. The Indians drop to 2-5.

Olney had 14 shots, 12 on goal and three saves.

Olney won the junior varsity contest 2-1. The Tigers scored both goals in the first half. Altamont tallied a goal in the second half. The Indians drop to 0-3.
