St. Anthony High School senior Ryan Kruger has accomplished a milestone; he's the first St. Anthony soccer player during Coach Eric Morales' tenure to sign a national letter of intent to play collegiate soccer.

Kruger announced his intentions to attend and play soccer at Illinois College in Jacksonville during a gathering Tuesday afternoon.

As to what Illinois College Coach Kurt Albrecht said is hoping for from him, Kruger said, "Someone to put the ball in the goal."

Morales said Kruger is "very coachable. He knows the field; he's always in the right place at the right time."

As to what he hopes to study, Kruger said something in the general business field for now.

Kruger is the son of Kevin and Michelle Kruger.
