Three EHS Soccer Places Make All-Conference

Three Effingham High School soccer players made the All-Apollo Conference teams.

Andrew Bingham, a midfielder, made the First Team as did Sean Zerrusen, a senior defender. Bingham scored 10 goals this season and had eight assists.

Other members of the First Team were Wade Spence (Charleston), Reece Bell (Charleston), Zach Lensink (Mattoon), Jacob Ghere (Mattoon), Greg Thorne (Mattoon), DeAndre Gist (Mount Zion), Mason Crawford (Mount Zion), Luca Cardamone (Salem) and Dalee Young (Taylorville).

Named to the Second Team was Effingham's Jared Minor. Minor, a senior. He was the EHS goalkeeper and had 181 saves. Along with Minor were Jack Thain (Charleston), Drew Mejdrich (Charleston), Trey Skocy (Mattoon), Chase Vogt (Mattoon), Rayme Hamilton (Mattoon), Cole Kidwell (Mattoon), Triston Fultz (Mount Zion), Brennan Weirman (Mount Zion), Zarak Islam (Salem) and Zebert Dunaway (Taylorville).
