Blackhawks Blank Ducks In Anaheim

(Anaheim, CA) -- Corey Crawford made 29 saves for his first shutout of the season and ninth of his career, as the Blackhawks blanked the Ducks 2-0 at the Honda Center. Marian Hossa scored his 24th goal of the year before assisting on Jonathan Toews' third period tally for Chicago, which has won three-of-four since a four-game skid. The 'Hawks are now just one point behind the Ducks for the best record in the NHL. Jonas Hiller allowed both goals on 25 shots for Anaheim, which went just 1-4 on its five-game homestand.

Penguins Cruise Past Sabres

(Buffalo, NY) -- Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin tallied a goal and an assist each as the Penguins cruised past the Sabres 5-1 in Buffalo. Harry Zolnierczyk, Brian Gibbons and James Neal also lit the lamp for Pittsburgh, which has won six of its last eight. Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves in the victory. Drew Stafford scored the lone goal for the Sabres, who have lost three in-a-row and 10-of-12 overall. Ryan Miller allowed all five goals on 34 shots in defeat.

Sharks Edge Stars In OT

(San Jose, CA) -- Tommy Wingels scored the game-winning goal just under two minutes into overtime, giving the Sharks a 2-1 win over the Stars at the SAP Center.  Martin Havlat scored the first goal for the Sharks and also assisted on Wingels' goal. Valeri Nichushkin scored the only goal for the Stars, which tied the game in the second period. San Jose improved to 36-16-6 while Dallas slipped to 26-21-10. Alex Stalock made 19 saves for the win, and Kari Lehtonen had 19 in the loss.

Blues Host Bruins

(Saint Louis, MO) -- The Blues look to keep pace near the top of the Western Conference when they take on Boston tonight at the Scottrade Center. St. Louis has lost two of its last three games. The Bruins have won two-in-a-row and are top playoff contenders in the EaSt.
