Rangers Handle Wild

(New York, NY) -- Cam Talbot stopped 24 shots in goal as the Rangers earned a 4-1 win over the Wild at Madison Square Garden. Carl Hagelin and Mats Zuccarello each scored in the second period while Derick Brassard ended with two assists. Benoit Pouliot and Chris Kreider  also scored for New York, which won for just the second time in eight games. Jason Pominville had the lone goal for Minnesota in defeat. Niklas Backstrom turned away 32 shots as the Wild lost their fourth in six games.

Canucks Emerge Victorious

(Vancouver) -- Eddie Lack wasn't supposed to have a starring role in Sunday's tilt against the Jets but he ended up being one of the biggest reasons the Canucks emerged victorious in their final game prior to the NHL's holiday break. The rookie netminder, with his father and grandmother in attendance at Rogers Arena, came off the bench and made 15 saves on 16 shots to lead the Canucks to a 2-1 victory over the Jets.

Blues In Canada

(Calgary, Alberta) -- The Blues look for their third straight win tonight. St. Louis is in Calgary to take on the Flames. The Blues are 24-7-and-4 and get a few days off for the holiday before returning to action Saturday against Chicago at the Scottrade Center.

The Blues are likely to be without forward Alexander Steen tonight. He is dealing with what the team is calling an upper-body injury and is day-to-day.  Steen leads the Blues with 24 goals and 38 points.

Blackhawks Face Devils Tonight

(Chicago, IL) -- The Blackhawks host the New Jersey Devils tonight at the United Center. Chicago is 25-7-and-6 after losing in a shootout to the Canucks on Friday. The Devils beat the Capitals in overtime on Saturday to move to 15-15-7. The puck drops at 7:00.
