Dario Franchitti Retires Due To Houston Crash
(Indianapolis, IN) -- Dario Franchitti is retiring from racing due to injuries from a crash last month. Franchitti announced Thursday he'd been told by doctors to stop racing because it would affect his long-term health. Franchitti fractured his spine in two places when his IndyCar lost control and crashed during the Grand Prix of Houston. Franchitti is a three-time Indianapolis 500 winner and four-time IndyCar Series champ.
