Blues Sneak By Blackhawks

(St. Louis, MO) -- Alexander Steen found the back of the net with under a minute to play as the Blues beat the Blackhawks 3-2 in St. Louis. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews scored for Chicago, which dipped to 1-1-1. Corey Crawford had 31 saves in defeat. The Blackhawks host the New York Islanders Friday.


Kings Snipe Senators In OT

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Kings salvaged a 4-3 win against the Senators when Jeff Carter lit the lamp 28 seconds into overtime. Los Angeles jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period behind two goals from Dustin Brown and Carter's first goal of the game. Ottawa put one past Jonathan Quick in the second and two in third to tie the game at three. The Kings are 2-2-0. They begin a four-game road trip against the Hurricanes Friday


Flames Down Canadiens

(Calgary, AB) Sean Monahan is making the Calgary Flames decision on whether or not to keep him up for the season easier each game. The 18-year-old extended his goal-scoring streak to three games while goaltender Joey MacDonald made 33 saves as the Flames dropped the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 at Scotiabank Saddledome Wednesday.
