Ducks Ground Jets

(Winnipeg, Manitoba) -- Corey Perry's first goal of the year came late in the third period and lifted the Ducks to a 3-2 win over the Jets at MTS Centre. Mathieu Perreault and Andrew Cogliano also scored for Anaheim, which moved to 2-and-1 on the young season. Viktor Fasth stopped 15 shots in the victory. Andrew Ladd had both of Winnipeg's goals. Ondrej Pavelec stopped 30 shots for the Jets, who fell to 2-1.

Hurricanes Clip Flyers

(Raleigh, NC) -- Radek Dvorak's second period goal held up as the Hurricanes clipped the Flyers 2-1 at PNC Arena. Jay Harrison also lit the lamp and Jeff Skinner had two assists for the 'Canes, who improved to 1-0-1 on the season. Anton Khudobin kicked aside 17 of the 18 shots he faced in the victory. Luke Schenn scored the lone goal for Philly, which is 0-3 for the second straight year. Steve Mason allowed both goals on 34 shots in the setback.

Canucks Win In Overtime

(Vancouver) -- It's been three years since Mike Santorelli put up his career-high 20-goal campaign as a member of the Florida Panthers. On Sunday, he showed he's got the ability to reach those heights again. The 27-year-old Vancouver-native, who managed just two goals in all of last season split between the Panthers and Winnipeg Jets, equaled that total alone against the Flames scoring twice -- including the netting the overtime game-winner -- to propel the Canucks to a 5-4 come-from-behind victory at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
