(Baltimore, MD) -- Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish is headed to the 15-day disabled list with a strained muscle in his right shoulder. The Rangers view the injury as "fatigue" and expect Darvish to be ready to go after the All-Star break. Darvish was recently selected to his second straight All-Star Game but will not pitch in the contest. The 26-year-old is 8-4 with a 3.02 ERA in 18 starts this season. He leads the league with 157 strikeouts.

Bruins Lock Up Rask With Eight-Year Extension

(Boston, MA) -- The Bruins have locked up restricted free-agent goalie Tuukka Rask with an eight-year, $56-million contract extension. Rask emerged from the shadow of the departed Tim Thomas this past season, going 19-10-5 with a 2.00 goals-against-average and a .929 save percentage. He also tied a career high with five shutouts in the regular season, his first as a starter.
