(Chicago, IL) -- The puck drops on the Stanley Cup Final tonight.  The Chicago Blackhawks host the Boston Bruins in Game One of the best-of-seven series at the United Center. It marks the first Final between Original Six franchises since the Montreal Canadiens played the New York Rangers in 1979.

This will be just the seventh time these teams have met in the playoffs and the first since Boston swept Chicago in the quarterfinals in 1978. The Bruins reached the Stanley Cup Final by sweeping Pittsburgh in the Eastern Conference finals, while the Blackhawks knocked out defending champion Los Angeles in five games to win the West.

The Bruins and Blackhawks did not meet this year during the abbreviated regular season. Both these teams have won Stanley Cups recently, with Boston taking the Cup in 2011 and the Blackhawks the year before.
