Blackhawks Blow By Kings, Grab 2-0 Lead
(Chicago, IL) -- The Blackhawks jumped out to a four-goal lead and held on for a 4-2 victory over the Kings in Game Two of the Western Conference final Blackhawks center Patrick Sharp says they must continue to turn the page after each game.
Andrew Shaw and Brent Seabrook each scored in the first period before Bryan Bickell and Michal Handzus lit the lamp in the second for Chicago. The 'Hawks grabbed a two games to none lead in the best-of-seven series as it shifts to Los Angeles for Game Three on Tuesday. Corey Crawford made 29 saves in the victory. Jonathan Quick was chased from the cage after allowing all four goals on 17 shots for the Kings. Jeff Carter and Tyler Toffoli each scored for Los Angeles in defeat.
Eastern Conference Finals Continue Tonight
The NHL's Eastern Conference finals will continue Monday in Pittsburgh, as the Boston Bruins try to steal another road win against the top-seeded Penguins after taking a 3-0 win in Saturday's opener. Tuukka Rask made 29 saves for the Bruins, who produced the franchise's first postseason whitewash on the road
since a 4-0 result in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals at Vancouver nearly two years ago. Pittsburgh hadn't been held scoreless in any contest since February of 2012.
