Devils Name Nasreddine Interim Coach

The New Jersey Devils have fired coach John Hynes. The Devils had been expected to contend following some big offseason deals, but are 9-13-4. Assistant Alain Nasreddine has been named interim coach.

Capitals Trade Stephenson

The Washington Capitals have traded forward Chandler Stephenson to the Vegas Golden Knights for a 2021 fifth-round pick. Stephenson helped the Capitals defeat Vegas for the Stanley Cup in 2018, but made the trade to clear cap space.

Flyers' Raffl Suffers Broken Finger

The Philadelphia Flyers say forward Michael Raffl broke his finger during Tuesday night's 6-1 win against Toronto and will miss about four weeks. Raffl was injured late in the second period and didn't return.
