North America has been awarded the 2026 World Cup.

The U.S. last hosted the event in 1994 and will be home to 60 of the 80 games, leaving Canada and Mexico with 10 matches apiece.

It’ll be the first time that World Cup matches will be played in Canada, while Mexico was the sole host in 1986.
