The clock has struck midnight for the fairy tale season of the Vegas Golden Knights as the Washington Capitals came back after losing the first game of the series to take the next four games in a row and capture the Stanley Cup.

It was the first championship in the team’s 44-year history and Alex Ovechkin was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.
