CSS Announces Golf Outing Winners

Community Support Systems has announced the winners of its 24th Annual Golf Tournament held on Monday, June 13 at Meadowview Golf Course.
(TOP SCORING TEAM WAS JERRY JANSEN'S CENTURY 21 TEAM, INCLUDING CHRIS SCHAFER, KARY JANSEN, JOEY SPRINGER, JERRY JANSEN AND TIM KROUSE. IN FRONT IS SCOREKEEPER CHASIDY MANSHIP)
The top three scoring teams in the flighted tournament were Jerry Jansen’s Century 21 team made up of Jerry Jansen, Kary Jansen, Chris Schafer, Joey Springer, and Tim Krouse; Smith Moore & Associates made up of Kent Schmidt, Ronnie Niebrugge, Jeff Richards, Tom Steppe, and Tim Walsh; and the Dan Hecht Chevrolet Team made up of Jerry Hecht, Ed Grunloh, Bill Schmidt, Bill Hoelscher, and Dan Wortman. The Dust Electric team, made up of Rich Dust, Matt Dust, Todd Earlywine, Randy Pitts, and Taylor Kistler won the L.O.F.T. award for taking last place.

Other winners were Chris Weber for men’s Longest Drive, Carol Rohr for women’s Longest Drive, Brent Sandschafer for Longest Putt, and Brad Weishaar for Closest to Pin.
These competitions were sponsored by Brumleve Industries, Frichtl Clinic, Griffin Therapeutic Solutions, P & M Oil, Prime Sole, and ServPro. Brad Weishaar won the Tic-Tac-Toe Putting Contest sponsored by Taylor Law Office.

The Auto Trivia game sponsored by the Effingham New Car Dealers was won by Brock Teichmiller. The Bogus Sign Competition sponsored by Dust Electric and Poverty Trucking was won by Neil Zerrusen. Joe Kiernan won a recliner at the Challenge Hole donated by Wright’s Furniture and donated it back to the tournament to be auctioned off. Luke Workman was the winning bidder on the chair. Mulligan prizes were won by Tony Sandschafer, Jim Button, Tom Murphy, Ken Bierman and Jason Niebrugge. Prizes were donated by Cardinal Golf Course, Culver’s of Effingham, Eagle Creek Golf Course, Evergreen Mini Golf, Flora Golf & Country Club, Fox Prairie Golf Course, Greenview Golf Club, Meadowview Golf Course, Rogala Public Links, Sisco Corporation, The Travel Quarters and Weber’s Jewelry. Other major contributors to the event were The City of Effingham, Beck’s Hybrids, BK Resources, Charlene Oberlin and Dr. John & Carol Gapsis.

Community Support Systems thanked everyone who supported this major fund raising event that they say is necessary to cover shortfalls in funding so that the clients can receive the services they need.
