EHS Eighth, C'land Third at Eastern Illinois Wrestling Tourney

Effingham High School finished eighth at the Eastern Illinois Wrestling Tournament at St. Joseph-Ogden High School Saturday.

Winning the meet was Olney with 198 followed by St. Joseph-Ogden 191, Cumberland 141, Hoopeston 130, Lawrenceville 130, Bismarck-Henning 108, Oakwood 108, Effingham 106.5, Rantoul 75, Westville 68, Robinson 63, Champaign Central 29 and Argenta-Oreana 25.

Several Hearts placed third. Brandon Marschewski took third at 132 pounds. Andrew Perry finished third at 138 pounds and Griffin Paige was third at 182 pounds.

Zane Thilker took fourth place at 152 pounds.

Brody Beck captured fifth place at 126 pounds while Tyler Marschewski took fifth at 138 pounds.

Zach Keitel got sixth place at 120 pounds while Tristan Rhodes was sixth at 145 pounds and Ben Hodges finished sixth at 160 pounds.
