Blackhawks Take 2-0 Lead On Wild

(Chicago, IL) -- Brandon Saad scored twice to lead the Blackhawks past the Wild 4-1 in Game Two of their Western Conference semifinal series at the United Center. Bryan Bickell tallied a goal and two assists, while Jonathan Toews also lit the lamp for the 'Hawks, who take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven set.  Corey Crawford made 18 saves in the victory. Cody McCormick scored the lone goal in the third period for Minnesota, which hosts Game Three on Tuesday. Ilya Bryzgalov allowed three goals on 21 shots in defeat.


Penguins Blank Rangers In Game Two

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Evgeni Malkin capped the Penguins 3-0 win over the Rangers in Game Two of their Eastern Conference semifinals series at CONSOL Energy Center with an empty net goal with less than a minute left in the third period. Marc-Andre Fleury stoned 22 shots for the shutout. Kris Letang and Jussi Jokinen also lit the lamp for Pittsburgh, which heads to Madison Square Garden Monday night for Game Three with everything knotted up at one. The Blueshirts were 0-for-4 on the power play. Henrik Lundqvist played a strong game in net stopping 32-of-34 shots despite the loss.
