Local Country Singer/Songwriter, Jake Hoult, is set to bring his County/Christian Rock band to the Effingham Performance Center on Sat., June 9 at 7:00 p.m. Mikayla Joy will start the show. Tickets are $5 (plus taxes and fees) at the door.

Jake Hoult was born and raised in central Illinois. He began his musical journey at the age of four, performing at local talent shows, churches, and small events. Today, at 21 years old, Jake has had the pleasure of performing in front of audiences from all over the U.S. including venues in Branson, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to doing Country Music, Jake also has a love for Contemporary Christian/Gospel music. This gave him the opportunity to open for a number of popular Christian artists such as Natalie Grant and Matthew West at 2017’s ROCK & Salvation Festival, held at Mid-America Motorworks.

"My favorite thing about what I do is having the honor of making somebody's day. When people come to see us live, I do all I can to put a smile on their face and give them a memory they can hold on to. I always make it a point in every show to honor my Lord and Savior and this great nation," says Jake.

Mikayla Joy is a Singer/Songwriter from Southern Illinois. The daughter of a country songwriter, she quickly became a country music fan. At a young age, Mikayla began competing and performing at several events, churches, and fairs. She is hard at work writing her own music, playing shows, and pursuing her music career by attending Greenville University.

Lobby doors will open at 6 p.m., with the band starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are general admission, $5 (plus taxes and fees), and only available at the door (no advance purchase).

Effingham Performance Center is operated by Arts Connection of Central Illinois, a not-for-profit organization, that has been established for the citizens of Effingham County and beyond to showcase arts and entertainment, to encourage interaction with and appreciation of live performance, to endorse the educational process and to enhance the quality of life and cultural vitality of the region.
